Forgetting your password: The 5 stages of grief

1. Denial
No, I did not enter my password incorrectly.
Ok, re-enter the password slowly; I'll look at my fingers as they hit the keys.
Error message?! This is not happening.
Alright, I'll only use my index finger to type in the password.
ERROR? No. There's no way I've entered this incorrectly; I painstakingly watched myself do this the right way ten times now. Why would I get my password wrong? It's my password.

2. Anger
Why is this happening?! I use the same password for everything. How could this possibly be wrong when starfish17 has been my password for every account for the past 15 years?!
Answer a security question? Sure, let's give that a whirl!
"What is your father's middle name?"
Answer: Anthony.
Answer not correct?!! But that IS his *%&*ing middle name! Why would I have put anything different?!
3. Bargaining
Ok, I'll just start the reset process.
Yep, send reminder email.
Now just answer a few questions to verify it's me.
Why does it require so much information? Social security number? Really? Just to reset my password? Fine, whatever.
Country of origin? Fine. Who cares? Not sure why a hacker or someone else with malevolent intentions would want to log in to see my student loan balance. Here's the whole gamut of my info, including my son's second grade teacher's name. If this is what it takes to log in to see my student loan balance, fine.
4. Depression
Reset email still hasn't arrived although I've refreshed this page for ten minutes.
Whatever. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm never going to finish paying off these loans, so what does it matter if I can't log in and check the account balance? If it's not this bill, it's another. The bills will never be paid, and I'll always have $300 deducted monthly from my account for these stupid loans. Forever.
5. Acceptance
Ok, that's fine. If I can't log in, I can't log in.
Oh wow, look at that: the email finally arrived. I can reset it to the same password it already was.
Ok, link to reset takes me to a page that won't load... ok, just hit refresh and... bam!
Alright, here we go. When I reset it to starfish17, it probably won't allow me to since I already used that-
Oh snap. I set the password as hunkydory77?
Oh yeah... that's right. Well, NOW it's starfish17. I'll write this down so I won't forget it next time.
Where're my post-its? Eh, whatever. I'll remember the password next time this happens.

Olympic gold was my target but bronze still amazing – Mikel

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has expressed joy winning the Rio 2016 soccer bronze with the Nigeria U-23 team, to the extent that he had a good sleep with the medal by his side. Mikel who was writing his Olympic diary on London Evening Standard stated that winning the bronze in Rio meant a lot to him. It was also Nigeria’s only reward at the Games.

Nigeria defeat japan 5-4

Nigerian Olympic male football team, popularly called the Dream Team, on Friday, beat the Japanese U-23 side 5 goals to 4, in a pulsating encounter which held at the Manaus Stadium, in Brazil. The Coach Samson Siasia tutored boys defied all the odds to defeat Japan in the thrilling Group B encounter in Manaus despite arriving in Brazil just hours before their first game in the early hours of Friday. Oghenekaro Etebo was the star of the show, scoring four goals, while the impressive Umar Sadiq added the other goal to secure the win for Nigeria, reports Compelete Sports. Japan had the game’s first chance but Emmanuel Daniel made a point blank save before Sincere Seth cleared away for a corner. The game got off to a blistering start when Sadiq opened the scoring in the fifth minute after imoh Ezekiel’s initial shot was stopped by Japan keeper. A minute later Japan equalised from the penalty spot through Shinzo Koroki after Amuzie fouled inside the box. In the ninth minute, Etebo put Nigeria ahead again with a left foot strike off a cross from Shehu Abdullahi. Japan were back on level terms through Takumi Minamino on 13 minutes following a fine intricate passes which split the Nigerian defence open. Amuzie, in the 19th minute, hit a long range strike which Japan keeper palmed away for a corner. Few minutes later, Ezekiel made a timely block which went away for a corner. In the 31st minute, Ezekiel sent in a low cross which failed to connect with a Nigerian player. Etebo came close to putting Nigeria in front on 38 minutes but blazed his effort over the bar. In the 42nd minute, Etebo made it 3-2, pouncing on a poor clearance after his initial effort came off a Japanese player. On the stroke of half time, Etebo had the chance to score Nigeria’s fourth but didn’t get a clean header from Sadiq’s cross. Etebo got his hat-trick and made it 4-2 in favour for Nigeria after Sadiq was fouled inside the box. In the 61 minutes Mikel Obi hit a left foot strike which went narrowly wide.
