Forgetting your password: The 5 stages of grief

1. Denial
No, I did not enter my password incorrectly.
Ok, re-enter the password slowly; I'll look at my fingers as they hit the keys.
Error message?! This is not happening.
Alright, I'll only use my index finger to type in the password.
ERROR? No. There's no way I've entered this incorrectly; I painstakingly watched myself do this the right way ten times now. Why would I get my password wrong? It's my password.

2. Anger
Why is this happening?! I use the same password for everything. How could this possibly be wrong when starfish17 has been my password for every account for the past 15 years?!
Answer a security question? Sure, let's give that a whirl!
"What is your father's middle name?"
Answer: Anthony.
Answer not correct?!! But that IS his *%&*ing middle name! Why would I have put anything different?!
3. Bargaining
Ok, I'll just start the reset process.
Yep, send reminder email.
Now just answer a few questions to verify it's me.
Why does it require so much information? Social security number? Really? Just to reset my password? Fine, whatever.
Country of origin? Fine. Who cares? Not sure why a hacker or someone else with malevolent intentions would want to log in to see my student loan balance. Here's the whole gamut of my info, including my son's second grade teacher's name. If this is what it takes to log in to see my student loan balance, fine.
4. Depression
Reset email still hasn't arrived although I've refreshed this page for ten minutes.
Whatever. It doesn't matter anyway. I'm never going to finish paying off these loans, so what does it matter if I can't log in and check the account balance? If it's not this bill, it's another. The bills will never be paid, and I'll always have $300 deducted monthly from my account for these stupid loans. Forever.
5. Acceptance
Ok, that's fine. If I can't log in, I can't log in.
Oh wow, look at that: the email finally arrived. I can reset it to the same password it already was.
Ok, link to reset takes me to a page that won't load... ok, just hit refresh and... bam!
Alright, here we go. When I reset it to starfish17, it probably won't allow me to since I already used that-
Oh snap. I set the password as hunkydory77?
Oh yeah... that's right. Well, NOW it's starfish17. I'll write this down so I won't forget it next time.
Where're my post-its? Eh, whatever. I'll remember the password next time this happens.

Olympic gold was my target but bronze still amazing – Mikel

Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has expressed joy winning the Rio 2016 soccer bronze with the Nigeria U-23 team, to the extent that he had a good sleep with the medal by his side. Mikel who was writing his Olympic diary on London Evening Standard stated that winning the bronze in Rio meant a lot to him. It was also Nigeria’s only reward at the Games.

“When I woke up in my hotel room on Sunday morning, I opened my eyes to see my Olympic bronze medal lying there beside me. “It just hammered Captain Mikel home to me what I had achieved with the rest of my Nigeria team-mates the day before.” Mikel who was also Team Nigeria captain disclosed that Honduras whom they beat 3-2 gave them a fright in the final moments of that game, but he was thankful that the team was able to weather the storm. “We conceded two late goals and all of a sudden it looked like everything was going downhill. They made us sweat a bit and we were relieved to come out victorious. “I was obviously very clear before travelling to Brazil that my target was the gold medal. But to get the bronze is still an amazing achievement. “It was great to have something to show for it and we all thanked each other. “I went to sleep last night with my medal beside me; I couldn’t and didn’t want to let it out of my sight.” Meanwhile Mikel returned to Chelsea to loads of high five by his team-mates and has been granted a three games leave by manager Antonio Conte.

My unforgettable, embarassing moment on stage

Rising popstar Ycee who clinched the Headies Rookie of the year has revealed his unforgettable and embarrassing moment on stage. The Jagagban singer made this known during a recent interview on radio. “When I first started out, my performances on stage were not good enough. Whenever I was on stage I didn’t add charisma to my performance. I just recited the lyrics. That day midway into my performance the stage manager put off the light. Somebody came on stage and took the mic from me. Before I knew what was happening, I found myself backstage. It was quite embarrassing and I just told myself that I would improve on my performance.”

Brazil booed off as Neymar flops in South Africa stalemate

Brazil and superstar Neymar were booed off as their quest for a maiden Olympic football gold medal began with a 0-0 draw against 10-man South Africa on Thursday. Barcelona ace Neymar is by far the biggest name in the competition and has been tasked with restoring pride to Brazilian football after a catastrophic 7-1 semi-final defeat to Germany on home soil at the 2014 World Cup.However, he endured a frustrating afternoon on a sandy and slow surface in Brasilia as South Africa held out despite Mothobi Mvala’s red card half an hour from time prompting the crowd to jeer the hosts off on the final whistle. “For us the draw is a defeat,” said Neymar. “The team went on the field to win, we know our responsibility, we know it isn’t going to be easy. “It is not just a case of turning up and winning the gold medal.” Group A is now in a four-way tie on one point after Iraq and Denmark also played out a scoreless draw. In contrast to the swaths of empty stands across the six cities being used to host the men’s and women’s football tournaments on the opening two days, the hosts commanded a near-capacity 70,000 crowd.

However, the Brazilian side boasting Neymar, Manchester City’s new £27 million ($35.4 million) signing Gabriel Jesus and Marquinhos of Paris Saint-Germain did not provide the expected victory procession. South Africa’s Lebo Mothiba had a host of chances to cause an almighty upset, but failed to make a ragged Brazilian defence pay for early nerves. “The first game is always the most difficult due to the anxiety of the competition starting,” added Neymar. “I think the anxiety hurt us a bit.” Neymar proudly sported the captain’s armband and had Brazil’s best two efforts of the first half with strikes from outside the box that forced South African ‘keeper Itumeleng Khune into stunning saves. And Khune said he would tell his grandchildren of the day he stopped the Barcelona star. “I am so happy to make my appearance, make my mark,” said Khune. “Definitely my grandchildren will watch the DVD of this match.” South Africa dominated the early stages of the second half with Mothiba and captain Keagan Dolly coming close. But their chances appeared to have gone when defender Mvala was sent off for two quickfire yellow cards. Brazil ramped up the pressure. Jesus somehow turned the ball onto the post with the goal gaping, whilst a dipping drive from Neymar landed on the roof of the net. However, South Africa resisted to add problems on the field for the hosts to a Games build-up already marred by fears surrounding the Zika virus and Brazil’s political turmoil.

2face becomes first African musician hosted at home of Italian Tycoon Gaspare Campari

His career is full of many splendid firsts. And he’s now added another remarkable one. The pop giant is being hosted this week, at the Campari house situated on the outskirts of Milan, on the invitation of the respected Italian Organisation. The singer and his team kept the news on the low, refusing to let the cat out of the bag, even after word leaked that they were spotted arriving in Milan. 2baba is a brand ambassador for Campari, the first African act to be so decorated in over 200 years. He now joins a global elite list of celebrities who have been invited to the home of Campari, where he toured the Campari museum, brewed his own Campari cocktails and had lavish lunch at the summer home of the company’s founder Gaspare Campari.

Two generations of Camparis lived at the sprawling property, which housed the first ever Campari bar. The property is now enveloped by the massive Campari global headquarters, housing corporate offices, a multi-purpose venue, first-class museum, and an academy. Idibia joins the list of global celebrities like Eva Mendez, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Milla Jovovich, Benicio Del Toro, Eva Green and Kate Hudson, that have either paid a visit or participated in signature Campari activities since the drink was first brewed in 1860. The visit, Idibia says, is a continuation of his amazing relationship with Europe where he won his first-ever international award at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Portugal 11 years ago. While in Milan, he has participated in a workshop at the Campari academy, visited Italian landmarks, taken a tour of relevant facilities and work with select experts to create his own special Campari cocktail. He is accompanied by his friend and manager of many years, Efe Omorogbe. Also on the trip is Campari Head of Marketing Abayomi Ajao and public relations expert, Ayeni Adekunle from Campari’s PR agency BHM. The team is expected back in Lagos by the weekend
